I’ll always remember when I went through hard times like these I’d turn to the bottle and wake up and hate myself even more. Now I do nothing except stare at the ceiling and fight with my thoughts to let me sleep.
He walked as if the weight of the world was beneath him and he was on top.
He told stories as if life was a fantasy, and reality was optional.
He breathed a different air to you and I.
He was locked away in his mind, but to us he seemed free.
He wrote to his thoughts and swore he wouldn’t make it through the night.
He died on September 13th, now he’s gone, out of sight.
I miss you most when all I can smell is your scent.
I miss you, I just miss you.
I promise you I meant every word, I promise I’m trying.
It’s been a while my old friend, Since we walked through the fields and counted clouds in the sky. It’s been a while since I felt your warmth on my skin. It’s been a while since I seen your face without a tear rolling off your cheek. It’s been forever since I remember seeing you smile. I guess reflections really do tell stories.
And I wonder, what could have been if you had of heard my calls for you in the middle of the night. I wonder what we could have been if you came running before I wished to be here no more.
I wish I kept things to myself, something isn’t ride inside my brain.

Everyday I am faced with your pictures, everyday I am faced with the reminder that I’ll never see you again. Pictures captures moments, videos capture movements and sounds. I have no footage. I have no sounds.. I stare at these blank walls plastered with your pictures, it pains me to know this is all I have of you, but I am grateful knowing that we all had more than one chance to see your beautiful smile.
